Autumn haiku

—

bees

bumble slowly

autumn morning

—

anger fades

with slow walks

under ancient oaks

—

city pigeons

watch city people

bustle, bustle

—

chickadees cache

precious stores

in fading light

—

at dawn

a motionless rabbit

cares not for you or me

I have not posted here in a while – perhaps because I’ve been enjoying writing over on Buddle et al., but also it’s been a rather fast-paced time, in part due to the cycle of my work (September at the University is always busy). But I have been occasionally writing haiku, and continue to be obsessed with drawing rabbits in ballpoint pen, so above is a wee collection of things I’ve been working on. I hope you enjoy.
